Hunting Patrol [open]

The seal pointed leader crouched just outside his den. Hunched against the cold as the wind whipped across the skies. It was a blessing that the ferns surrounding the camp, keeping most of the winds at bay. For a brief moment he closed his eyes, it would have been easy to drift back to sleep but he knew he couldn't allow himself that pleasure. There was much to be done today.

With a heavy sigh he pushed himself to his paws, blue eyes flickering about to search for the patrol he was to lead out today. A hunting patrol.

Padding out of the warriors' den, Dreamcatcher glanced around wearily. Yawning, the tortoiseshell female flexed her claws and looked up to see Blackstar alone. Flicking her tail, the slender warrior trotted over to him, giving her leader a respectful nod. "Good morning, Blackstar," she greeted, green eyes glittering.

Giving the warrior a welcoming blink of his blue eyes he sat up, "good morning, Dreamcatcher."

Sweeping his eyes about once more, to see if any others would appear he quickly went on, "I had not scheduled a hunting patrol for this morning but I feel the need to hunt anyways. Would you care to join me?"

His thoughts drifted away from hunting, because now that he thought about it hunting wasn't really what he wanted to do. What the seal point really wanted was to take advantage of Thunderclan and Riverclans disputes. After all his clan was large, hungry, and they had more then enough prey to spare, surely. His smile was chilling.

emerging from the den with a yawn, pentagonkit sat down on the dirt and drew a paw over his ear, letting his fur ripple with the wind 'good morning!' the tom-kit called across the camp, bouncing over to his leader and the warrior as his energy returned to him, pentagonkit ignored the fact tha his blue-gray fur was sticking up in clumps where he had slept on it overnight 'have you seen the medicine cat? mummy says her tummy hurts.' he blinked innocently up at blackstar, his icy blue eyes wide.

The pointed tom turned his attention to the young tom-kit, a small smile touching his muzzle. He was known to be ruthless but he also knew he could afford some kindness toward his clanmates. After all they were family to him.

"I actually spoke to him earlier this morning," he replied softly. Flicking his tail toward the boulders that housed the medicine cat, "Needleclaws should still be there if you need him."

Staring down at the kit, Dreamcatcher's whiskers twitched. She'd been about to answer Blackstar before he'd arrived, but whatever. He hadn't known. Smiling, the tortoiseshell's eyes sparkled with amusement.

Nevernirvana nodded to the leader, then her jaws cracked open into a huge smile. "Good morning, sir!" she meowed loudly. The powerful shecat asked, "Who is going to be on the morning patrol?"

[Elmo]

He turned at the sound of Nevernirvana, blinking in welcome, "Ebonynight will be gathering cats for the morning patrol."

As if they'd summoned him with their words the clans deputy stumbled out of the warriors den, paws caught up in moss. He would of tripped had the weak strains not snapped, as it was he nearly fell into the group. He straightened with a goofy grin, "sorry about that.."

Blackstar let out a huff of amusement. "Dreamcatcher and I are going hunting this morning, with however wishes to join us." Turning to his deputy he meowed, "Ebonynight, you'll gather the boarder patrol."

Dreamcatcher nodded in confirmation, looking at Ebonynight. The tortie flicked her tail as Nevernirvana arrived, happy to be hunting with Blackstar.
