The Thunderclan deputy was silent as a ghost, steps seeming to touch air as he stalked through the green-less brush and toward his prey. It had been some time since he'd been able to hunt with such efficiency, thanks to the slow healing of a wound. One he'd received during a heated battle with Riverclan over sunningrocks.
Those fish-eating fools had another thing coming though if they thought Thunderclan was going to let them have a piece of their territory! Rabbitnight forced himself not to think about that and instead focused on the mouse rat nipped away on it's seed. Unaware of the hunters eyes digging into it's flesh.
Close enough now he paused, tensing, and then lunged with outstretched paws. The mouse never had a chance.

Warmfront, who had been lurking in the shadows by Sunningrocks, looked up when she heard a noise. Blinking, the ginger tabby warrior spotted Rabbitfoot and padded over, eyes glowing. "Good catch," she mewed, glancing at the mouse. Tail flicking back and forth, the Thunderclanner shot a look at the deputy's wound, concern in her amber gaze.

The red, spotted tabby didn't need to soak up the praise and bask in it. He knew he was a good hunter, just as good as he was at fighting. Which only wanted to make the tom call forth a battle patrol and rush into Riverclan territory, show them once and for all that he -no, they- meant business!
Still frowning over the battle and his thoughts he glanced in the warriors direction, noticing her stare. "I'm fine," he meowed, forcing his anger away and allowing a smile to stretch his lips. "It's healing nicely, just as Icecurrent said it would."

"Well, I'm glad it's healing well," she mewed, smiling. Looking over the handsome tom, Warmfront's whiskers quivered as she wondered what was going through Rabbitfoot's head. She knew he was somewhat obsessed with taking back sunningrocks, so that was a possibility. "Mind if I join you?

The red tabby kicked some dirt over his prey and nodded, "certainly. Two cats hunting in this weather would be a hell of a lot better then just one."
Giving himself a visible shake Rabbitfoot sent one last darting glance toward across the river, swearing this time he send a pair of glinting eyes peering back at him, before moving off into the trees. There was likely better hunting to be had at Sunningrocks, what with animals going to get a drink and sun themselves, but he wasn't ready to be reminded again just yet.
"I keep thinking about the last gathering," he meowed to break the silence. "I don't believe Blackstar when he says his clan will stop hunting here. And I certainly don't believe Rushstar about Sunningrocks."

Pink nose twitching, the slender she-cat followed Rabbitfoot, nodding in agreement. "You can never trust a Shadowclanner, especially Blackstar," she mewed, glancing around.
Crouching low to the ground, Warmfront fixed her gaze on a grey squirrel and crept forward, barely making a noise among the snow and plants. Suddenly, the ginger tabby darted forward, grateful the squirrel hadn't spotted her bright pelt. As it ran away, the warrior lunged forward, putting on an extra burst of speed. Unsheathing her claws, she swiped at her prey and knocked it over. Killing it with a swift bite to the neck, she picked it up and loped back over to the deputy, the skinny squirrel dangling from her jaws.
Dropping it on the white ground, she looked back up at Rabbitfoot and flicked her tail. "Rushstar is old; he should be an elder. He's not right in the head, I'd say,"
